Marinade of gray mullet

A combination of color with a pronounced taste of fish.
  • 3 kg gray mullet
  • 1l water
  • 1l vinegar
  • 2 onions
  • 2 carrots
  • 3 bay leaves
  • mustard seeds
  • allspice berries
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • oil
  • salt
Instructions

The gray mullet clean and well washed, cut into slices an inch, add salt and keep in refrigerator 24 hours. The next day, rinse thoroughly with water.

Onions and carrots cut into thin slices.

Water mixed with vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar.

In the jars of 800g are placed carrots and onions and then fill the jars with gray mullet. Finally are placed onion and carrot and add some 'mustard seeds and allspice. Fill the jars with water and vinegar, add half a bay leaf and a teaspoon of oil.

The jars tightly closed simmer 20 minutes in a bain-marine.

It 'very nice and can be served at any time.
